El estudio AID TO RECOVERY: THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF IT, SOFTWARE, AND THE MICROSOFT ECOSYSTEM ON THE ECONOMY de IDC para Microsoft, destaca estas impresiones para ESPAÑA:
Me llama la atención el último punto. Me parece algo exagerado. En fin, lo seguiremos con cierta curiosidad.
Para EUROPA la estimación es la siguiente:
- IT spending in 2009 will be 21 billion EUR ($30.9 billion). From the end of 2008 to the end of 2013, IT spending will grow 3.6% a year, compared to GDP growth of -0.2% a year.
- IT-related activities will generate 13 billion EUR ($19.3 billion) in taxes in 2009. Over the next four years that means more than 6 billion EUR ($9.3 billion) in aggregate.
- That spending growth means that employment in the IT industry and of IT professionals in IT-using organizations will rise by 50,000 jobs in the four years from the end of 2009 to the end of 2013, up from a 2009 base of 504,000.
- That represents growth of 1.7% a year from now through 2013, while overall employment is expected to shrink.
- Software drives activity in the services and distribution sectors, as well as in IT-using organizations, which means that while spending on packaged software will be only 14% of total IT spending in 2009, 55% of IT employment will be software-related.
- The IT market will drive the creation of 1,000 new businesses between now and the end of 2013. Most of these companies will be small and locally owned organizations.
